ABOUT
The Grid
2021
The purpose of my Culture Campaign is to gain the people of Grass Root Football the recognition and acknowledgement they deserve, People who genuinely are passionate about their community and help the Local Football teams flourish are the people who truly deserve the light shined on them.
You constantly see in the media Professional Footballers giving back to the community they grew up in through donating to Grass Root football which is fantastic by all means, but them donating money is easy for them considering the wage they earn. It is the people who give a lot when they only have a little who really merit some appreciation.

Our
Speakers

Jamie
Carragher
Former Liverpool Defender, Following his retirement in 2013 Carragher joined Sky Sports, where he appears as a commentator and pundit.
James Lee Duncan Carragher is an English retired footballer who played as a defender for Premier League club Liverpool during a career which spanned 17 years.
Steven
Gerrard
Steven George Gerrard MBE is an English professional Football Manager and former player who currently manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers
Gerrard attended Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School upon the recommendation of his primary school teacher, whose husband was a PE teacher there, due to its superior football reputation over more local schools. Gerrard had trials with various clubs at fourteen, but his success was not immediate, Gerrard never made it into the England schoolboys' team. Gerrard's trials included Manchester United, which he claimed in his 2006 autobiography was 'to pressure Liverpool into giving me a contract' He signed his first professional contract with Liverpool on 5 November 1997.

The presenters we have chosen are for a valid reason due to the fact many of the grassroots footballers are also looking to follow in the footsteps of Gerrard and Carragher in attempt to achieve what they did as professionals, including the fact that they are both local lads who made it in football, this makes it more aspiring as they potentially come from similar backgrounds.

Teaming up with Sports Direct is huge for my campaign, Sports Direct have decided to join me on my venture to bring light to the West Derby Grassroots Football by donating equipment such as:
-
Football Kits
-
Shin Pads
-
Football Boots
-
Training Equipment
-
Footballs
This helps me in achieving the objective of halving the annual expenditure Grassroot football players have to pay, by helping with equipment costs.
Teaming up with Delta Taxi also helps me in my aim to lower the annual expenditure by grassroots football players, this will help me lower transport prices to and from football, Delta have offered a 30% discount to anyone using there services as a form of transport to and from football, which is a huge amount considering the amount of money this will help players save annually.
Pins Social Club have offered to sponsor my campaign, this means they will help with the catering of the event, including food and drinks. They have also offered their facilities as a venue of socialisation for grassroots football players which is one of the biggest annual expenditures by the players, in doing this Pins Social Club have helped massively with the annual expenditure.
